A writer’s life is all-consuming. When I’m not actually writing (which, sadly, is more often than not), I’m reading writing-related emails or workshops or online classes, or listening to writing conferences on audio, or editing, or reading a romance novel, or reading writers’ blogs, or reading the Romance Writers Report.
What I’m not doing is teaching my kids potty training, how to write their name, how to do anything at all except have fun in the summer of their youth. Not cleaning my house, not washing laundry until my underwear drawer is empty, not washing dishes until my sink runneth over, not remembering to file my quarterly taxes on the correct day, and missing contest deadlines.
I thought summers were supposed to be laid back and stress-free!
But, I do sleep well at night, so there’s that.
What eats up your life? I’d love to hear about it!
